Mudakathan Dosa(A healthy Breakfast)

 



Among the several types of dosa modakathan dosa is one of the healthiest one. It’s main ingredient is Molakathan keerai commonly known as Balloon vine in English. Modakathan keerai has several nutritious values



1.      1. Mudakathan keerai has anti-ulcer properties

2.      2. The water extracted form mudakathan has anti-diarrheal properties

3.      3. Another interesting property of mudakathan is its ability to increase sperm motility and sperm count.

Let’s take a look at the recipe of Mudakathan Dosa.

1.     1.  Soak idli rice with vendhayam for 3 hrs.

2.      2. Pick just the leaves from the Mudakathan keerai. Wash and clean the leaves.

3.      3. Drain the water and place it in the mixer.

4.      4. Top with salt, drained rice, methi seeds and little water. Grind smoothly.

5.      5. Pour the ground batter in a vessel.

6.      6. Let it ferment for 10-12 hours.

7.      7. Heat tawa and spread a ladle full of batter (Just like a normal dosa).
